The idea of a flying car seems something out of the Jetsons and unnecessary with the development of airplanes. Nevertheless, Larry Page has dropped $100million into the production of a self-driving car. While it seems to be more bothersome for humans than beneficial, researchers are noting its benefit for drones.
Because there are fewer obstacles in the air, buyers would be able to receive their products faster. Safety is an important characteristic of these drones, too. There would be less accidents among humans and animals as they stop quickly and spend most of their time off of land. However, these machines aren’t electric, so the amount of gas one would be spending could substantially increase the cost of these machines.
With Amazon making consistent headlines around their drone development, it seems only fitting other companies have started to get in on the hype.
